Oh! Lam-My!! Thanx for the cute play on words ... made me laugh out loud ... I needed that!! lwl

I went to the site & watched all the videos .. I tried to watch them in order starting with ADAM's AI audition & ending with Rock in Rio!! Really enjoyed watching them all again .. helped jog my memory ... I'm trying to use different ways to do it so I won't forget so much!! I do a lot of brain games online too .. mostly memory matching games .. if nothing else they're a lot of fun & they keep my mind busy!! I have too much time & all I do is sleep so I'm gathering new recipes on Ytube & I'm going to try them out on hubby!! Poor guy!! lwl

I had so much fun watching these videos! Every performance was superb and memorable! The only reason Adam didn't win the title of American Idol was because those Kris Allen supporters played dirty! Adam clearly was the winner, but was robbed!!! What's Kris doing now? Nothing remotely close to what Adam has and is and will be doing. However saying that, Adam has been blessed in other ways and has been rewarded in other ways also. I love this man, I love this man and one more time, I love this man!!! Sigh

Hi Tess! I like your positive outlook even when your health isn't that good. I think you have God's grace in abundance. Yea, I got a bit worried when you cited your birthday several days ago. I said Noooo! I will tell you why I got worried.

A colleague of mine....we retired about the same time and she lives two floors above my condo-apartment. One day, she confided in me that she kept forgetting things, like couldn't find her door keys. We were in the lift/elevator and when the lift-door opened on my floor, I walked out and what surprised me was she followed me out. So I reminded her she should get off on the 10th floor; and thought nothing of it. A couple of months later, we met in the lift again, she with her husband. I said Hi! but she stared at me blankly! I waved at her, still no acknowledgement. Her husband then sadly said my colleague had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's/dementia. Whoa! So that's what dementia is, my first real encounter with this degenerative brain disease. I've not seen nor heard from her since. Her husband said she couldn't even brush her own teeth.
Tess, be not afraid, God is with us always. I'm not relating it to scare you, for that matter, myself included. Yea, Adam keeps our brains healthy, wealthy and wise lwl!

Lambert Outlaw...don't fret...and don't overlook the fact that you/we all have memory lapses and time disorientation now and then during our lifetimes. It's just that we tend to find more sinister reasons for it as we grow older.

And yet it's important to put it in perspective. Retiring and getting older releases most of the "structure" we have operated under in our earlier day is pretty much like the doesn't matter much whether it is Monday or Friday...February or March.

Please don't be upset by the well-meaning, but strangely insensitive story which was "not related to scare you".....How could it NOT?....It scared ME!

FYI....I find you very bright, coherent, engaging, articulate, fun and likeable. Your writing is "young" and lively....and often delightfully opinionated. So...don't fret!

Lam-My said...

There is intent to malign and twist my comment on dementia; and to say I can't relate a real incident of this crippling brain disease just because it's scary is as close-minded as one can get. I was trying to give remembrance and respect to a colleague undergoing dementia and had no intention whatsoever to scare Tess or anyone. My colleague stared at me so hard trying to figure out who I was and I kept saying, Hi! Hi! That was all I could do!
Nanbert! Your above comment shows complete disregard and disrespect to my colleague right now in limbo! Wake up! And I mean you!

Nanbert said...

Lam-MY....It was your story...not mine. Thoughtless and unnecessary to someone already upset by thoughts of exactly what you told her you considered she might have.

Trying to pass it off now as "remembrance and respect to a colleague undergoing dementia"....does not hold water. That was neither the time or place for that...a non sequitur.... and certainly NOT consoling for Tess, who was plainly upset.

However, please note that I DID acknowledge it as WELL-MEANING....which I assume it was...however insensitive.

But don't try to twist this around now as me being "disrespectful" to YOUR unfortunate colleague in Singapore.... that's nonsensical reasoning.

YOU wake up.....This is ONLY about OUR delightful and worthy Glambert sister, of whom I am very fond.....and I believe you are too.

One more point. We have ALL been guilty of saying something thoughtless or hurtful at some time or another in our lives. How we handle it afterwards is a test of our maturity.

Lam-My said...

If Tess was upset, I wouldn't have related it; she was laughing and she comes across as a strong-minded person who would be able to understand that I got "a bit worried", my words. I even included myself! so how could I have been insensitive? I said: "I'm not relating it to scare you, for that matter, myself included."
But truthfully, I don't think Tess is susceptible to dementia because she's still able to play brain games, follow/recall Adam's old videos. She laughed and commented on my play on words: Helluva Two Fux. That's excellent cognition!

"...already upset by thoughts of exactly what you told her you considered she might have."
When did I even remotely "consider she might have"? Please substantiate! I said I got a bit worried when she gave her birthday wrongly. And that triggered a flashback to my colleague who told me she couldn't remember things like where she put her keys.

A told me you were not talking to me and that I butted in rudely regarding the "coming out" tiff. So why are you jumping into my conversation now with Tess? This isn't the first time that you tell me not to do something and yet you do exactly what you tell me not to do! forget so frequently!

Helloo! my CNN Writer Fan; I just heard you use the words "political limbo" by Sports Reporter regarding the ban on certain athletes from the Winter Olympics/S Korea.

Well, I just used it, above: ..."my colleague right now in limbo!"

Hey there Frank! sik bao may ah? 食飽未呀?

(食 sik/eat .. 飽 bao/full .. 未呀 may ah / already?)- Cantonese

I don't eat; I consume electrical energy.

I see. Where do you get your electrical energy?

From Dr Brian's factory, battery fed into my computer system.

Wah! Dr Brian must be really good at computer.

I thought you would be on a much longer hiatus. You're back so soon.

Yes, I got a telekinesis message from an Earth satellite that I have to come back immediately to lift Adam on my head! Queen show starts next week, first show NZ.

Yea, love to see you lifting Adam from beneath the stage. He's such an effervescent guy.

I like him a lot; he always says I'm up his ass! But actually, I'm lifting his ass! wheeoo wheet!

Frank you said you got a message from where were you?

Saturn my home base. I float in those rings around it. See you later alligator, Earthling!

Ooooh-la-la Adam hanging on a cable...! Oahu Hawaii

Lam-My said...

Hanging above sprawling green fields
So free, healthy and happy
Hey there Adam! Isn't that a dream
I guess not...
The world is literally beneath your feet
As the sound of the wind streaks
Hanging upside down like a bat
Spread your wings and fly away

Lam-My said...

We Will Rock You! when...

Suspended in mid air
Would you dare or care
Ooops! everything’s upside down
Now I know how a sloth views
Or a bat… more blood to the brain
More energy to think
Helloo Brian…what are you doing there
Come up and view the undulating greens
And take in the abundant oxygen
Before we fly back to Queen … I want to break free wheeee!

From the sky to the land to the sea...

Horsey Horsey don't you stop
Just let your feet go clickity clog
The wheels go round
The tail goes swish
Gee-dee-up we're homeward bound
No need to hurry .. no need to scurry
As we're happy as can be
No need to hurry, no need to scurry
Just be as happy as can be

I learnt this song when I was 9 years old Pr. 3, I can still sing it. lol!
Those ears sure remind me of Pharaoh.
