"Due to the global coronavirus pandemic, concert trade publication Pollstar puts the total lost revenue for the live events industry in 2020 at more than $30 billion.....
With just a few months on the road, Elton John’s “Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour” tops the year’s Top 100 Worldwide Tours list with $87.1 million grossed between Nov. 30 through March 7. John’s tour ranked No. 2 last year with $212 million grossed.
Celine Dion came in second this year with $71.2 million, followed by Trans-Siberian Orchestra ($58.2 million), U2 ($52.1 million) and Queen + Adam Lambert ($44.6 million). Post Malone, Eagles, Jonas Brothers, Dead & Company and Andrea Bocelli rounded out the Top 10. "

QAL was so lucky to be able to finish that amazing tour just before COVID hit. They showed the world that they are still a world-class band. Hope 2021's tour happens as planned!
Dee R Gee....Yes, but QAL still had to cancel/delay all the performances in the Spring. 2021's tour will really be 2020's tour! Fingers crossed it will go forward as planned in 2021.
You're right, of course. So glad Adam got home just in time.
But he didn't stay very long. Fortunately, he's been lucky all the traveling, etc. hasn't found him suffering from COVID-19....yet. I confess, I really worry a lot about him. This pandemic has lasted so long that even the most careful of us will lose caution from time to time. "Familiarity breeds contempt"!
Your exactly right Nanbert. It got up to 21 degrees here today. I stopped for gas and told the pump yes to a receipt. It didn't give me one. So I had to go inside. I was not happy and went stomping in and realized I did not have a mask on until it was my turn to be waited on. Gulp! I didn't step forward but immediately apologized to a mask wearing clerk. He said it was okay and handed me a receipt. ugh!
I confess to worrying about Adam too and have to constantly remind myself he's a grown up and it's up to him to take care of himself.
I'm ready to get the vaccine shot and haven't a clue where to start. Is it to soon to give my doctor a call?
Oh oh. I just realized I shouldn't joke about the vaccine. I do know it's too soon for me to call the doctor. I fully understand and expect lots of people are ahead of me.
So happy for the guys. I imagine Brian and Roger still can't believe whats happening with Queen today, with a bit of help from Adam. :)
