Sam Smith and Adam Lambert are good buds (and even slight twins given a certain lighting), but are they working on something together? Something that would likely be an emotionally-laden pop track blending their two styles and voices?

The jury is still out on that one, but Lambert started the rumor when he shared a video on his Instagram page today (October 7). In it, he and Smith ride around London. The two initially just stare goofily at the camera before Lambert croaks “London town” in an affected accent. Smith banters back at his buddy, before offering up a new hashtag, “Rickshaw vibes,” after the jumbling and bouncy ride they’re in.

His range is near operatic, able to transform “We Are The Champions”, the well known, overplayed anthem by Queen, into a fresh, thrilling experience. Upon seeing him perform 21 songs over the course of the group’s Hong Kong debut before nearly 10,000 people at the AsiaWorld-Arena, it’s obvious that both Lambert and the group complement, respect and inspire each other.
Unfortunately, it’s the larger than life singer Freddie Mercury who helped catapult the group from UK band into a world renowned legendary act. And the few times the late singer is reverently seen and heard onscreen, most notably during “Bohemian Rhapsody’s” famed operatic sequence, his range and charisma steal the show.

During his introduction to “Somebody To Love”, Lambert even alluded to this while thanking both Hong Kong fans for their support and Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor for the opportunity to share the stage. “I’ve been doing this for four years and I still feel incredibly lucky, but there will only be one Freddie Mercury,” he graciously said.

Season eight of X Factor Australia kicked off last night (October 2) with a new judging line-up featuring Adam Lambert and Iggy Azalea. And it didn’t take the pair long to bond over a hot contestant. “He’s cute,” the “Ghost Town” hitmaker whispered as Memphis took the stage for an audition. The 27-year-old from Melbourne soon revealed that he’s a brick layer by day and a male entertainer by night, which prompted Adam to ask for “a sample of the merchandise.” He was happy to comply and Iggy was pretty excited by what she saw.


“I really didn’t picture myself being a judge on any kind of television show, but I think that this could actually be a good fit for me so I said yes,” the “Team” rapper told the Daily Telegraph before shooting commenced. “Initially I didn’t know, but then I thought it would be good to come back to Australia… I’m really excited and I don’t really know what to expect.” It’s nice to see her having a good time after an objectively terrible year.

Sitting in the judge’s chair during The X Factor: Next Generation auditions in Sydney brought back a flood of memories for Adam Lambert.

The 34-year-old singer recalls the exact moments of his American Idol audition in 2009, where he performed Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody to then judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.
“I kept remembering what it felt like to be in their shoes, to walk into a room and be nervous, to be hopeful and have all this pressure on yourself to do well,” Lambert says by phone from London, where he is rehearsing for the Queen + Adam Lambert tour.
“I was 27 when I did my audition, so I auditioned a lot later than a lot of the other contestants (on Idol). I kind of relate to that idea that they’ve been watching the show for many years before they were finally ready.”
Despite placing runner-up on Idol’s eighth season, Lambert has gone on to pave a hugely successful music career.
With three albums under his belt, the openly gay musician has sold more than five million singles worldwide.
To top it off, Lambert started touring with Queen in 2012, performing the band’s biggest hits in place of the late Freddie Mercury for adoring fans in Europe, the UK, US, Australia and now Asia.

Last night Glamberts were shocked and excited to see a new photo of Adam Lambert showing off the side of his chest on Instagram, but it was for a good and stunning reason. He got a new tattoo!

The piece of Antinous was done by tattoo artist Maxime Buchi at Sang Bleu London Tattoo. But what does the tattoo stand for? Adam told fans to look him up, so we did.
It turns out that Antinous was known as The Gay God. Antinous drowned in the Nile river in October of the year 130. The local people of Egypt considered him a sacred being. They believed that anyone who drowned in the Nile was embraced by Osiris (god of the dead), and that the drowned person would become Osiris, rising up from the underworld to live forever as an immortal. Temples were even dedicated to Antinous, and a new cult was created to serve his worshipers.
