Flashback to May 8th, 2009. Adam Lambert was on Season 8, American Idol, and was back in his hometown of San Diego, CA, for his Top 3 Homecoming. 

This interview with the San Diego radio station, Star 94.1 FM is so fresh.. Adam was in awe of the reception he received at home, and was just starting to realize how his life might never be the same..

In compiling his book, "Shades of Elvis", photographer Christopher Ameruoso took amazing shots of 75 celebrities wearing the King's (Elvis Presley) authentic, original sunglasses. The list of famous people was impressive: Willie Nelson, Celine Dion, Steven Tyler, Cher, Robert Plant, Snoop Dogg, Ozzy Osbourne, Elton John, Johnny Depp and Adam Lambert and more.

 According to Headlines and Global News (HNGN) the photographer was stunned and shocked that the fan base that was the loudest and greatest to be heard from with feedback about their idol's presence in the book, were those of Adam Lambert's: affectionately known as Glamberts. Not only was Ameruoso awakened to the magnetic pull of Lambert, Priscilla Presley was as well.

 Priscilla noted that Lambert was very talented, a risk-taker, a showman and gave full-fledged entertainment wherever he appeared. Would Elvis Presley have been a Glambert? Priscilla noted that Elvis liked people who were beyond good in what they did, and strived to be the best and passionate about their work, like Adam Lambert. I take that as a yes.

 Adam Lambert just finished a world tour with Queen, and said he learned a lot from the iconic British showmen about fame and the music industry while they toured. He is now working on his third album, has changed labels (but the name has not been released yet) and also has just taken a role as a temporary judge for American Idol auditions in New York. Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Junior have become fans also, and loved working with Lambert. Lambert's reactions were that he was trying to help the young singers with any help he could provide at a "break or make" moment in their careers.
As far as his third album goes, he is still pretty secretive. He has hinted in an interview here and there, that it may not be what his fans expect; he says it may be an alternative type of album and a surprise. Glamberts really don't care; they love everything and anything he does. He is crediting perhaps a post-Beyonce world, where innovative surprises are happening. But the suspense and waiting is keeping his fans on pins and needles.

Adam Lambert's fans have earned a reputation for their fierce loyalty to the "American Idol" star and chart-topping singer. Photographer Christopher Ameruoso experienced that passion first-hand after he and Priscilla Presley published the best-selling book "Shades of Elvis," which features more than 75 celebrities wearing Elvis' personally owned iconic sunglasses, including Johnny Depp, Elton John, Ozzy Osbourne, Snoop Dogg, Robert Plant, Cher, Steven Tyler, Celine Dion and Willie Nelson.

May revealed that awesome fact to BBC Radio 2 host Chris Evans last week.
The Queen guitar maestro admitted that it only took a couple of songs for Lambert to win over any skeptics in the audience, at each stop on the tour.
How did Adam do it?
“We have Mr. Adam Lambert,” May confessed, “who is incredible. He ticks [all] the boxes. But more than that, he’s not trying to be Freddie [Mercury]…
“[Adam’s] an extraordinary singer, with extraordinary range,” May then added. “He connects with the people. It takes about three songs for everyone who has any doubts to go: ‘Yeah! Okay! This is cool!’”
May also told BBC Radio that a tour of the UK and mainland Europe is currently in the works.
“We’ve just had one of the best tours [Queen] has ever done,” he said. “We’ve been to America, Canada, Australia, Asia, and New Zealand. We’ve got this amazing singer, and it’s a good show…
“We thought we’d carry on,” he said, “and do Europe and the UK.”
Meanwhile Adam himself recently revealed to Fox News that strutting the stage each night as lead singer for Queen changed his whole perspective on being a singer.

It is well documented that a lot of rock bands hate tribute acts. Queen are no exception.
One of the biggest bands in the world, they have sold over 150 million albums and given the world hits like Bohemian Rhapsody and We Are the Champions. In a career spanning four decades, the group have had 18 number one albums, 18 number one singles and 10 number one videos. Fronted by the late great Freddie Mercury, they have become one of the most iconic groups in rock.
Since Mercury’s death in 1991, drummer Roger Taylor and guitarist Brian May have continued touring under the name Queen, despite original bass player John Deacon retiring in the 1990’s.
They are currently at the end of a world tour with Adam Lambert, but this month, Britain will once again see Queen return – this time, the official tribute band, Queen Extravaganza.
This tribute group was assembled by Taylor through online auditions on YouTube. They are currently on a UK tour, which stopped at Leeds’s O2 Academy.
Speaking to him as he sits backstage in rainy Sydney a few hours before the original band perform at the Allphones Arena, Taylor explains why he decided to create a tribute group for his own band. “It was a difficult thing, really. I’d got so fed up with seeing rather cheesy tribute bands, and it looked like we were playing down the road in the village hall or something. I thought if anybody can put a band together with our music, it’s us, we know our music better than anybody else.”

Adam Lambert: 'This summer I learned not to be so hard on myself'

'Whataya Want From Me' singer Adam Lambert has revealed that performing with legendary rock band Queen was an incredible experience that taught him so much about how to approach his own career.
During a new interview with Fox News, the vocal powerhouse explained that he learned a lot while on the road with Queen and one of the best lessons he got was that it's possible to have a great time and still be taken seriously as an artist:
"One of the things that I picked up from them that I love is the fact that they're icons - they're royalty in rock and roll and in pop music - and they know how to have fun. They take their work seriously, but they don't take it too seriously. And I think that balance of being lighthearted - because it is music and it is entertainment - that's so important. If you're not having fun, the audience isn't going to have fun."
He admitted that he will now be applying this mindset to his own career and performance style, adding that he is finally embracing the fact that he can enjoy what he's doing and still be fantastic at it: "In the past I've been a little harder on myself, but this summer I realised you've got to enjoy yourself."

9. Let's say, hypothetically, in a fit of mortality-nearing-I-must-control-something discomfort, we decide to cut off all of our perfectly nice hair into a severe style that may not suit us. A middle-aged friend might text another close middle-aged friend a delicately-worded message such as, "My aesthetic instinct is saying not to cut it. The haircut lady may do this..." and attach a photo of American Idol Adam Lambert.

The opening night of Kiss Me, Kate, at the venerable Pasadena Playhouse, was great fun, from start to finish!
I’ll give you every single detail of the evening, but first–I must share this tidbit with my faithful twitter followers @MajorCelebrity, who are waiting for this info: (Drum roll, please.) This is where I bumped into my old pal, Adam Lambert! We chatted at both intermission and the after-party, and, not to make anyone jealous, we even shared multiple juicy hugs! More celeb deets in a second, (and again, at the end,) and, of course, we have my glowing review of the production itself to get to!

After all this fabulosity, I ended the evening in the perfect way–I hung with fellow guest Adam Lambert for awhile, regaling him with tales (for the umpteenth time,) of how much I love him! My favorite part was telling something about the first two times I ever heard him sing, and him saying, “Hmm, I think you got the order wrong.” And I did not! No one can challenge my memory! So, I broke it down for him, and he realized that I was (probably) right. Or he was just being polite. But, I bet he went home and looked up those dates and saw that I was, indeed, correct. Yay, me!

The one bummer for me was, that when I got home and told Mr. X about the whole shebang, he made me realize that I forgot to take a picture with Adam!!! And I even looked good. For me. Adam, of course, is still the best dresser on the planet, so he’s camera-ready always. And, seriously, he was perhaps even more gorgeous than usual! I thought he had gotten thinner, but he showed me that his fabulous gold sort-of wing-tips had about a two-inch sole on them, and I was in the flattest of flats, so perhaps my perspective was a tad skewed.
